Dr. Roizen is Chief Wellness Officer at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and cofounder and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of RealAge, Inc., a consumer-health media company and provider of personalized health information and management tools. He is a practicing anesthesiologist, past Chair of an FDA advisory committee, and a former editor of six medical journals. Dr. Roizen has authored numerous publications, including four #1 New York Times Best Sellers (translated to over 48 languages), "You: An Owner's Manual" and the bestselling "You" series of books, all of which came from his anesthesia experiences.
Dr. Roizen leads the Executive Board for the SAFEKIDS Initiative, a multi-year research program to make anesthesia safer for children.
